One of the most colourful and vibrant states in the country, with a strong blend of culture, history, music, cuisine and people welcoming you with smiling faces, falling in love with Rajasthan doesn't take much time.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL DELHI
Upon arrival at Delhi, meeting & greeting at the airport. Then, transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 2: DELHI – JAIPUR (280 KMS/ 05HRS)
After a succulent breakfast at hotel, check-out & drive to Jaipur. (The present capital of Rajasthan is the famed pink city known for its palaces, three hill forts and a shopper's paradise.) Upon arrival at Jaipur, check-in at the hotel. Later visit the Patrika Gate (Majestic, opulent series of gates at Jawahar Circle's entrance, popular for photography.) En route have a photography stop at the Albert Hall Museum. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 3: JAIPUR
After a delectable breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Amber (Capital of the old state of Dhundhar, located on the rugged hills that surround Jaipur. Painted elephants will take you up the hill to admire the massive getaways, courts, stairways and pillared pavilions and palaces that recall the glory and wealth of Amber's association with the Mughals.) En route have photography stop at Hawa Mahal - Palace of Winds (Built for the royal ladies to watch the activities on the market street below without being observed themselves and the Jal Mahal (Summer Palace). In the afternoon, visit the Jantar Mantar (the Royal Observatory) and the City Palace Museum (still houses the erstwhile royal family). Evening shall be free for leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 4: JAIPUR- PUSHKAR (150kms/03hrs) PUSHKAR – JODHPUR (186kms/04hrs)
Enjoy your nutritious breakfast at the hotel, and drive to Jodhpur (The 15th century city of Jodhpur, stands at the edge of Thar Desert and is the largest city in Rajasthan after Jaipur. Jodhpur is a resplendent city, with a blend of modern and traditional buildings.) En route visit Pushkar (Pushkar is famous for its annual fair (Pushkar Camel Fair) featuring a trading fete of cattle, horses and camels. It is held over seven days in autumn marking Kartika Purnima according to the Hindu calendar Kartik (month), October or November). Visit the Pushkar Lake (A lake famous for having 52 ghats). Also visit the Pushkar Temple. (Brahma temple, which is one of the few temples dedicated to Brahma in the world.) Later, continue your drive to Jodhpur. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 5: JODHPUR – JAISALMER (280KMS/05 HRS)
After a scrumptious breakfast at hotel, proceed for sightseeing of Jodhpur. Visit Mehrangarh Fort (located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, is one of the largest forts in India. Built in around 1459 by Rao Jodha, the fort is situated 410 feet (125 m) above the city and is enclosed by imposing thick walls) Also visit Jaswant Thada (A cenotaph built by Maharaja Sardar Singh of Jodhpur State in 1899 in memory of his father Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. It now serves as the cremation ground for the royal Rajput family of Marwar). Move on to visit the Umaid Bhawan Palace (a magnificent piece of Rajasthan's heritage, and a symbol of new Jodhpur. It is one of the world's largest private residences.) Later, check-out and drive to Jaisalmer (A former medieval trading center and a princely state in the western Indian state of Rajasthan, in the heart of the Thar Desert. Known as the "Golden City," it's distinguished by its yellow sandstone architecture.) Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 6: JAISALMER
Enjoy a vitalisiong breakfast at the hotel. Visit Jaisalmer fort (It is believed to be one of the very few "living forts" in the world, as nearly one fourth of the old city's population still resides within the fort. For the better part of its 800-year history, the fort was the city of Jaisalmer.) Later visit the famous Havelis (mansions) known for their frescoes. The most elaborate and magnificent of all the Jaisalmer havelis is the Patwaon Ki Haveli. Five Jain brothers built the Haveli between 1800 and 1860. Salim Singh Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ki Haveli are the other two havelis that are opened to visitors. In the evening, proceed for the excursion to Sam Sand Dunes. (Located at a distance of 42 kilometers from Jaisalmer, it is the closest point to witness the total sandy desert. You can also see the patterns and motifs created by the shifting sands and air. Moreover, it also provides you with an unforgettable experience of camel rides and the sunset.) Overnight stay at the hotel
DAY 7: JAISALMER – JODHPUR (280 kms/05hrs)
Enjoy a peppy breakfast at the hotel, and visit Gadisar Lake (Gadisar Lake is an artificial lake in Jaisalmer. It is located in the southern part of the city. Rawal Jaisal was the founder of the lake). Later, drive to Jodhpur. Upon arrival at Jodhpur, enjoy sightseeing of Sadar Bazaar (bazaar is home to more than a thousand small shops that sell a variety of products at quite a reasonable price. This bustling market is popular for selling spices, handicrafts, tea, sweets, jewellery and much more.); Clock Tower (also known as Ghanta Ghar, is an important landmark in the Old City of Jodhpur. The mighty ruler Maharaja Sardar Singh built this colossal clock tower, in proximity to the popular Sadar Bazar.) and Toorji’s Stepwell (was built in the 1740s by Maharaja Abhaya Singh’s Queen. Submerged for nearly a century, its recent drainage, clean-up and restoration has uncovered over two hundred feet of hand carved treasure in Jodhpur’s famous Rose-Red Sand-Stone). DAY 8: JODHPUR – RANAKPUR (154kms/03hrs) RANAKPUR - UDAIPUR (95 kms/02hrs)
Enjoy a zesty breakfast at the hotel, drive to Udaipur (Founded in 1568 A.D by Maharana Udai Singh, the city is a harmonious Indian blend of whitewashed buildings, marble palaces, lakeside gardens, temples and Havelis). En route visit The Ranakpur Jain Temples (hidden in the dense forests of the Aravalli hills in a peaceful setting and are one of the five holy Jain pilgrimages and they were built during the reign of the liberal and gifted monarch Rana Kumbha in the 15th century). Later, continue your drive to Udaipur. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 9: UDAIPUR
Enjoy a hearty breakfast and visit Jagdish Temple, City Palace. (Udaipur's fascinating City Palace is the largest royal complex in Rajasthan. Standing on a rocky promontory the palace has balconies, towers and cupolas and presents a wonderful view of the lake and the city. The complex has eleven constituent mahals (palaces), constructed by successive maharaja`s during the three hundred years that followed the foundation of Udaipur in 1559. Added to this, Crystal Gallery and Durbar Hall within the complex is spectacular.) Enjoy a leisurely boat ride on Lake Pichola with its main attractions the beautiful stretch of water surrounding the two marvelous structures the Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir, is the life line of Udaipur city. (Lake Pichola is about 4 kms in length and 3 kms wide. Jagniwas was earlier the summer retreat of the prince of Mewar. This lake was created in the 15th century and widened later and a dam across was also created in that period. It was Maharana Udai Singh II who strengthened the Dam and widened the lake, as he was building his capital on the shore of the beautiful Lake.) Later visit Sahelion Ki Bari (A small ornamental garden built in the honor of Royal Ladies for recreational purpose.) Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 10: UDAIPUR – ONWARD DESTINATION
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and proceed to the airport to connect flight for onward destination.
